After retiring from the financial industry, where he worked as managing director of mergers and acquisitions at Kidder Peabody & Company, Bill and his wife, Carol moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Bill took “early retirement” in 1992. In addition to his considerable contributions and leadership with Mack Financial, Bill also serves in leadership roles on three nonprofit boards and enjoys skiing, trout fishing, and cycling — sometimes all in one day.
Bill has been involved in multiple business ventures, including asset management, private equity, venture capital, and life insurance consulting before being introduced to Richard Mack by a mutual friend during the winter of 2013. Bill had been acting as an independent consultant with another M Financial firm which had been acquired by Prudential. After numerous conversations with Richard Mack and, most importantly, discovering a mutual philosophy of always trying to do the right thing for the client, a bond was formed. In the last three years Bill has been a key component of Mack Financial Group – mentoring, educating and leading the way for all of us.
Bill says, “The decision to join with Mack Financial has been a really good one. It is not often that one has an opportunity to work with a business model that combines highly proprietary, customized financial solutions with significantly lower cost to the client. Proprietary products and services typically command premium pricing. I have been able to introduce our solutions to a wide variety of friends and advisors in Jackson Hole and throughout the country. It’s been fun and I’m still able to ski every day and participate on the boards of three charitable organizations, as well as my college, Holy Cross. Richard and his team have been wonderful to work with, and I look forward to continuing this relationship for many years.”
Beautiful Jackson Hole, Wyoming features another Mack Financial Group partner office. William “Bill” Maloney is the Director the MFG Partner’s Jackson Hole Office in Teton Village. Bill began his career in financial services in 1968 with a regional investment firm in Pittsburgh. After holding several positions including investment strategist and investment banking, Bill took early retirement in 1992. He and his wife moved to Jackson Hole and have called it home ever since.
